Small Leaved Caitlin Elm

The Caitlin Elm has very small one quarter to three quarters of an inch long shiny green serrated leaves and is very popular among collectors.  You can't get a Caitlin Elm from seeds since its a natural sport (you could call it a mutation if you want) of the regular chinese elm - Ulmus Parvifolia and can only be reproduced by cuttings or layering.

Like the regular Chinese elm this tree can be either evergreen or deciduous, depending on how it's grown and stands about 16 inches tall.  This tree has been grown out of doors and if it is shipped in the fall or winder may arrive with no foliage.  You'll need to have a suitable spot to keep it.
