Citrus Paradisi, "Citrus of Paradise", is the botanical name for grapefruit and is the state fruit of Texas. Rio Red Grapefruit produces large, yellow-skinned fruits with seedless, deep red flesh and has a delicious sweet flavor. The evergreen leaves are dark green, up to 6" long and thin. It produces 2" white four-petal fragrant flowers. The large fruits typically average one pound in weight.8 years old; measures 23" - 26" tall.
