Chinese Elm Bonsai- Chinese elm bonsai can be trained and grown as an indoor evergreen or outdoor deciduous bonsai- it's up to you ( and where you live )
Maple Bonsai - Outdoor deciduous maples include the Japanese Red andGreen Maples, the Trident Maple, Amur Maple and maple bonsai in a grove planting. 
Black Pine Bonsai - Black Pine Bonsai are not the easiest to grow or train, but for the dedicated bonsai enthusiast, this is a must have tree
Zelkova Bonsai - Also called Zelkova seratta and known as the Japanese Grey back Elm - Zelkova are resistant but not immune to dutch elm disease.  Outdoor and fairly hardy.
 
Pine Bonsai - White Pine, Black Pine, Scotch Pine and the Mugho or Mugo Pine, these wonderful hardy evergreen bonsai must be grown outdoors - the only exception is the Buddist Pine - Podocarpus
Ficus retusa- Easy indoor Figs - the names are easily and often mixed up but common names include Ginseng, Tigerbark, Banyan and Taiwan fig - sometimes they're just called retusa.
Serissa Bonsai- Serissa Foetida is an relatively easy (once you get the hang of watering it) indoor Chinese Bonsai.  Flowers are white or pink.
