Ming aralia (polyscias futicosa) indoor Tropical Bonsai also known as the Parsley Plant

We get many requests for the Ming Aralia, perhaps because of the beautifully graceful threadlike foliage or just that this is an exotic looking tropical plant.

The dense, but delicate foliage is dramatic against the rugged bark, causing the tree to have an outdoor bonsai appearance. The plant matures slowly, and a ring on the bark represents one year of age. In their native lands, aralias grow as shrubs. It is sometimes called the parsley plant because of its parsley-shaped leaves.

Pot: Mica, oval, brown, 11x8x3“; Origin 1990; Height 20“;
Photo: May 2008.
