This is the first Buttonwood ever offered at Zen Garden Bonsai and it's very exciting to be able to bring you this lovely example. There aren't that many around and this Florida native, found on high ground close to the ocean (because of it's salt tolerance) will make a unique addition to your own collection. It's also a great birthday or anniversary gift idea for anyone who would like to feel connected to the ocean and the south and for people who like to have something different. In nature, this hardwood tree is home to orchids and bromiliads and often used to smoke fish. Not frost hardy- keep indoors unless your in the hot south. As this tree ages you'll see an exception amount of character emerge.
