You can see from the picture that the leaves of Ficus Microcarpa are a rich green, shiny, thick and rounded. Honestly I'm not sure if this is the same as the Green Island Fig - also Ficus Microcarpa- Figs share so many of the common names. Never the less this is a wonderful little tree standing between 10-12 ' tall and 7 years old. As it ages, the roots of this tree will spread over the rock and attain an almost unreal look. Easy to care for, and tolerant of a range of lighting conditions. If you can maintain good humidity around this plant it will continue to develop new aerial roots.
