PYRACANTHA (pyracantha augustifolia) This outdoor Bonsai, also known as FIRETHORN is a semi-evergreen shrub, naturally hardy in zones 6-9
Its oblong semi-evergreen leaves are shiny and dark green on top, grayish underneath. Masses of tiny spring flowers make this popular shrub a spectacular bonsai.
The common name of firethorn aptly describes the dense clusters of brilliant red or orange berries which are present from October and stay on the tree into March.
