Deodar cedar (cedrus deodara) Outdoor Pre Bonsai
This tree will make a stunning outdoor bonsai. The deodar (its Indian name) occurs in the western Himalayas, reaching over 200 feet in the wild, but is now almost extinct over much of its former range. The long leading shoots nod over slightly, and smaller branches are pendulous. The foliage is a dark, slightly grayish green, with needles about 1.5" long on strong shoots. It is at its best in milder, humid climates in deep soil. Hardy to zone 7
