Upright, spiny evergreen shrub Indoor Bonsai
The common name Firethorn comes from the fiery berry colour and very sharp 1" long thorns that are carried on all branches. Leaves are narrowly ovate, dark-green to around 5cm .Small, usually white flowers in mid-Summer. The showy, round berries that follow by August/September bright red. Treat as a flowering indoor bonsai in Canada. Great gift for the gardener on your list. Loves the sun. This is a wonderful plant about 17 " tall and the same width. It's planted off centre in an 8"x7" pot
