Have you ever wanted a native American Bonsai? Here's your chance. This is the Carolina Silverbell and you'll love the flowers on this tree and the double trunk style that it's growing in. Come spring this tree is covered with little white bell shaped flowers - sometimes flushed with pink This woodland native of the central and southern US makes a beautiful deciduous bonsai and the leaves turn bright yellow in the fall. It needs to winter outside but for many of us northern gardeners that will be in a very well protected spot. Because this lovely native is becoming rare over much of its rage, this tree will make a wonderful gift to your environmentally or conservation minded friends or keep it for yourself.
Pot: Stoneware, oval, brown, 10x7x2.5“; Origin 1999; Height 17“; Photo: May 2008.
