It's hard to imagine looking at this CHINESE JUNIPER ‘GREEN MOUND’ (juniperus procumbens ‘greenmound’) that it's already 17 years old and only 12 inches tall.
The juniper, which is commonly trained into a bonsai, is a shrub often found in mountains about 3,000 feet above sea level. Of all the bonsai, this is commonly admired because of its shapely outline and its forgiving nature. Follow instructions for outdoor bonsai---DO NOT bring it in the house for more than a couple hours a month.
