Originally from Japan, where it naturally grows to 120 feet, and is held to be sacred by devotees of Shinto. The featherleaf is one of the numerous dwarf varieties with more soft and narrow leaves and a somewhat weeping nature. It is quite long-lived and naturally hardy in zones 4-8
