YAUPON HOLLY (ilex vomitoria)---outdoor, also called CAROLINA TEA. hardy in Zones 7-9 only - requires serious protection in colder climates
An upright evergreen bush with irregular branching, and normally with multiple trunks, it has a medium rate of growth. Branches are gray with small oval leaves with smooth sawtooth edges. Metallic red berries grow on female plants.
