SCHILLING HOLLY (ilex vomitoria ‘schilling’)
This is an outdoor bonsai also known as a Yaupon Holly. It is only reliably hardy in zones 7-10 and will therefore need considerable winter protection in colder areas
An upright evergreen bush with irregular branching, and normally with multiple trunks, it has a medium rate of growth. Branches are gray with small oval leaves with smooth sawtooth edges. White blooms and small metallic red berries grow on female plants.
