Indoor Bonsai trees and Bonsai Plants from Zen Garden Bonsai

Indoor bonsai trees and bonsai plants are usually created from tropical plants and very tender trees that won't survive when the temperature falls too low.  If you're looking for Ficus Bonsai - any one of the many, many beautiful Figs or easy to care for bonsai trees like mini jades, you'll find them in the indoor tree section.

Our indoor bonsai trees are all greenhouse grown so you'll want to check out our information page on making the transition from the greenhouse to your home - acclimating your new tree.

Some of the most loved indoor bonsai trees are those that flower like Serissa and Fukien Tea.  Browse through this collection and if there is something in particular you really want, but don't see here, please don't hesitate to email us and ask.  Not all of our inventory is up on the site at this time......(but I'm trying to catch up!!)

It's also certainly worth mentioning that an indoor bonsai tree is a wonderful wedding or housewarming present for your friends and family - But that doesn't mean that you can't keep one for yourself too!

Indoor Bonsai Trees

Indoor bonsai are by far the most popular bonsai trees sold in North America.  Some of them are just about as easy to maintain as a regular tropical house plant and in fact most indoor bonsai are tropical or subtropical trees and shrubs that won't survive the winter in colder climates.  Happily, the trees and plants that make up the indoor bonsai group will grow in the relatively low indoor lights levels and usually dry winter air.
The most popular indoor bonsai include members of the Fig or Ficus family, Mini Shefflera's, Mini Jades and even Juniper Procumbens.
